One of our first RV Adventures

February 12th, 2008

Suncruiser

This is our Itasca Suncruiser RV 32 ft motorhome.  We take some adventures in it.

This photo was taken at Riverview RV Campground.  It is located in Loveland on the way to Estes park.  To Quote them:  Riverview RV Park and Campground is set in the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains along the Big Thompson River. The quiet countryside setting of our family-oriented park, with its’ gorgeous Riverside RV Campgroundsurroundings and charming wood sculptures, is a favorite for groups or a romantic getaway.

Hidden beneath the cottonwoods at 5100 ft elevation, Riverview RV Park and Campground is near the Big Thompson Canyon entrance. We are 30 minutes from the beauty of Estes Park and 20 minutes from the art, shopping and numerous activities of Loveland and Ft Collins. Cheyenne and Denver are about an hour’s drive from Loveland on I-25.

Here are some more photos from our adventure:

I would recommend staying at this park if you have an RV.  It is far enough away from the city but not to far if you need supplies.  The rates are not bad and can make for a inexpensive weekend.  The park is close enough to Estes Park, CO and Rocky Mountain National Park to make it a base to have a lot of fun from.  If you don’t want to travel - the park is a nice place to have a quiet weekend away.

Hi Everyone and welcome to Places to Visit in Colorado!

February 11th, 2008

I was born and raised in Illinois.  Flat, that is what I thought most everything was.  Flat land is everywhere in Illinois. It was all that flat land and not seeing much else that inspired my wife and I to move to Colorado.  We have been here over 7 years in a couple of segments. We moved from Illinois after my brother passed away.  Seeing a younger brother go made me think of how short life is and if I don’t do it soon…it may never come.

So off we went and moved to Colorado.  We lived here for about three years and then the moving bug bit us and it was off to San Francisco.  Oh boy was that a move!  after three years there it was back to Colorado and those beautiful mountians.  I can really say that I missed those mountains.  The ocean is breath taking and I will go back again - but I am in my Rocky Mountain High and loving it!

I have been blessed in the fact that I worked as an outside saleman in the wholsale industry and my territory was most of northern Colorado.  I have traveled most of Northern Colorado (Castle Rock and north) and have been able to see most of this country.  I love it and plan on sharing many of my adventures and places to see  - without costing a ton of cash.

My wife and I are in our late 40’s early 50’s and have lost our taste for tent camping.  So we went out and got a nice used RV to do some of this travel in.  We use the RV and also just drive and stay at hotels.  We have places for both and will share those with you.

I am now beginning a videography and webdesign career.  This means I should have a lot of videos to share this summer and some nice photos as well.

Please feel free to comment on what we post and feel free to add some your experiences to the comments.  The more the merrier!

Happy travels!
